Gitxsan's traditional territory spans the upper reaches of the Skeena and Nass Rivers. The nation includes Gitanmaax Band Council, Gitwangak Band Council, Kispiox Band Council, Gitsegukla Indian Band and Glen Vowell Indian Band, which are located within a 40 km radius of Hazelton, in northwestern BC
