How did you receive your Mandate? (Please provide documentation)
At a general band meeting held on February 9, 1995 the membership adopted
the Band Council Resolution #1 authorizing the Council of the Namgis
First Nation to:
1. Withdraw from the Statement of Intent jointly filed by the Kwakiutl
District Council and the Msugamagw-Tsawataineuk Tribal Council with the
BCTC on November 19, 1994.
2. File a Statement of Intent with the BCTC on their behalf.
Authorization also given by Chief and Council of the Namgis First Nation
in a Band Council Resolution on February 14, 1996.
Meetings held with urban constituents on July 3 and 4, 1996 in Victoria
and Vancouver respectively. The membership adopted Band Council Resolution
#1 (as above).
